Nero Recordings was founded in Stockholm in the early 2000s as a sub-label of Joia Records by Luciano Ingrosso and Jonas Sellberg. The division was created to explore more energetic club sounds, focusing primarily on electro and progressive house music.
The label played a pivotal role in launching the early careers of the future Swedish House Mafia members and their peers. It released influential tracks and remixes by global icons like Eric Prydz, Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso, cementing its status as a cornerstone of the historic Swedish house music explosion.
